Just wondering..does anybody know the record for most head coaches fired during the regular season in a single season? Cause I'm pretty sure this is it or is very close to it. So far, out of memory, about 5 coaches that I can think of at the moment have been fired and more are probably on the way. Here's a tracker:
P.J Carleisimo-OKC Thunder
Eddie Jordan- Washington Wizards
Sam Mitchell- Toronto Raptors
Maurice Cheeks- Philly 76ers
Randy Wittman- Minnesota Timberwolves
And the season is barely a quarter over! I can see firings of Scott Skiles, Jim O'Brien, Reggie Theus,Mike Dunleavy and possibly Marc Iavoroni within the next 20 games. That would mean 9 or 10 coaches would be fired at the season's midway point. That's just shocking.
